“We do cutting-edge research that informs the field,” Verma said. “Befitting a major research university, that we have improved grants. We are also relevant professionally, as well in a scholarly way.”

Verma has co-authored and authored more than 25 articles and book chapters on subjects ranging from development to urban and regional studies.

A distinguished speaker, Verma has been invited to speak at universities all over the world. His work has been translated into German, Italian and Korean.

“Our goal is really to be the destination of choice for people who want an education in public affairs, in government, and the many fields that comprise this large domain,” Verma said.
