RICHMOND, Va. — At the start of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, analysts looked at Virginia Commonwealth University as if they didn’t deserve to be there. Yet they proved the critics wrong with an their improbable run.

Even though VCU lost in the Final Four to Butler University, the city continued to show their pride around town through shirts, banners and signs.

The Final Four run also leaked into April, which was coincidentally VCU Alumni Month. With all the success the team brought, former graduates took notice and many contributed to the Alumni Association.
