Prof Talks About World Trade Center Sound Recordings

RICHMOND, Va — Stephen Vitiello, VCU associate professor in Kinetic Imaging, spoke to VCU InSight about how he was able to capture sounds from the World Trade Center in 1999.

His six-month stint as an artist-in-residence on the 91st floor of Tower One gave him the opportunity to save an audible piece of history before the buildings were destroyed two years later in the 9/11 attacks.
